Celebrate NAIDOC week on the MidCoast

Everyone is invited to attend one of the many events happening across the region to celebrate this year’s NAIDOC week. NAIDOC week runs from 7 to 14 July and this year’s theme is Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud. There are several events happening around the region at Taree, Forster, Gloucester and Tea Gardens including flag raising ceremonies, sports events, discos for primary school children, ‘Koorioke’ night, community fun days and a cultural cruise around Wallis Lake. NAIDOC Grant funded free community events will be held:

  • Wednesday 10 July at Tobwabba Reserve Forster
  • Friday 12 July at Queen Elizabeth Park Taree
  • Tuesday 16 July at Tea Gardens Public School
  • Saturday 13 July at Gloucester Sports and Recreation Centre. More

Check out the school holiday programs happening all over the MidCoast including movie screenings, arts and craft workshops and a teen DJ mixing workshop. Bookings essential. More
