All TV channels back online shortly before 7pm on Thursday the 16th
TV signal from the Port Stephens broadcast site (Gan Gan Hill) is currently offline.
Updates will be posted as soon as more information is available.
Please don’t retune your TV. The signal has not changed it is offline due to an outage. When the transmitter comes back online, the signal will be the same. Those who have returned will not be viewing the correct signal and will pixelate and drop out. Not now but likely in the middle of your favourite tennis match. During previous outages, the people who jumped the gun and retuned had ongoing issues with additional rescanning of channels mixing old, new and unknown channels that predictably just dropped out. In some cases no channels at all.
So sit tight, don’t worry. Just like power and water services will be restored back to normal.
Other services are also affected, and a restoration time is still unknown.
